The Best Podcasts

PodcastBunker.com finds and lists the best podcasts, taking audio quality and the value of the content into consideration. The site offers podcast reviews and 30 second previews to help you decide what you want to hear…

Podcasting is online audio content that is delivered via an RSS feed. Podcasting works the same as a standard RSS feed reader or news aggregator, the only difference is that the feed you subscribe to contains an audio file in it. While podcasting was named for the iPod, you do not have to have an iPod to listen to a podcast. Podcasts can be displayed on websites with clickable links to audio files and many of the standard RSS readers have begun supporting audio enclosures.

The Most Courteous City in the World

Reader’s Digest recently tested good manners around the globe. RD sent reporters to major cities in 35 countries where the magazine is published — from Auckland, New Zealand, to Zagreb, Croatia. The reporters performed three experiments: “door tests” (would anyone hold one open for them?); “document drops” (who would help them retrieve a pile of “accidentally” dropped papers?); and “service tests” (which salesclerks would thank them for a purchase?). New York won as the most polite city in the world. View the ranking of 35 major cities included in RD’s Global Courtesy Test…
